Under the Hood - 2020 Ford
Bronco
The Ford Bronco was a strong car, and with
Ford's continued promise to produce ecofriendly vehicles, rumor has it that
there will be a hybrid Bronco. The rough and tough Bronco will be meshed with
the new and improved engine, bringing new power to the SUV.
Ford's Executive Vice President, Raj Nair, when
speaking with Autoline, hinted that the 2020 Ford Bronco would be "completely
unique" and unlike any current Ford vehicles. This means that although it could
be similar, it's still possible that some of the under-the-hood aspects are
taken from the reinvented 2019 Ford Ranger, including a 2.3 liter EcoBoost
engine, or possibly a slightly larger 2.7 liter Ecoboost V6. There has also
been talks about a diesel version being released, a Power Stroke I5 engine.
What will the 2020 Ford Bronco Look
Like?
It's been rumored that a four door version of
Ford's iconic Bronco will be available, however, that is yet to be confirmed.
It's likely that the vehicle will be made as a two door, like it was when it
was produced from 1966-1996. Early pictures released from Ford of the Bronco
under a sheet covered in mud, show what appears to be a spare tire mounted on
the back, like its predecessor.
The roof is said to be removable, in three
pieces, and called the "Air Roof", likely comparable to the Jeep Wrangler.
